While the layered chairs were drying from the glueing and before we felt like starting to sand them we thought we could use some left overs and already cut out pieces to build a little foot rest for the desk.

Basically we had a few extra strips from the chairs which we used as legs. A few dowels were added to give it a little more stability.

And piece of left over birch plywood was used as top surface.

In order to prevent the stool to slide around we added little balls of Sugru at the bottom.

After a few coats with oil based varnish and we had a very useful, quickly made and comfortable foot rest for our desk.
